We are participating this week in the MIRRI-ERIC All Hands Meeting 2026 in Braga (Portugal), the first major gathering of this pan-European research infrastructure.
A key forum to strengthen collaboration, share strategies and consolidate the European research infraestructures of microbial resources.
During the Quality Management Systems workathon, Laura Gómez and Ana Alastruey shared a strategic vision focused on:
- the need for effective and scalable quality management systems, especially for small collections
- strengthening peer support and mentoring
- promoting more accessible and constructive audits
- practical training and implementation-oriented guidance
Moving towards a stronger, more coordinated infrastructure ready to address future scientific challenges. Quality as a driver of European microbial research!
